Subsidy benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

scheme availability

Applicable for four customer income groups;

  1. Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
  2. Low Income Group (LIG)
  3. Middle Income Group-I (MIG-I)
  4. Middle Income Group-II (MIG-II)
  • Families with total household income up ranging from ₹ 1 Lakh to ₹ 18 Lakhs can avail the benefit of subsidy
  • Different carpet areas defined for different income group of customers
  • Subsidy of 3% to 6.5% on the eligible loan amount on different income group of customers

Conditions

  1. No pakka house (all weather dwelling unit) in the name of property owner or his/her spouse anywhere in india.
  2. Subsidy is available in semi urban and urban area only.
  3. A beneficiary family will comprise of husband, wife, unmarried sons and/or unmarried daughters.
  4. An adult earning member (irrespective of marital status) can be treated as a separate household.
  5. In case of married couple, either of or both spouses together in joint ownership will be eligible for a single subsidy.
  6. If carpet area exceeds the maximum limits then subsidy cannot be availed by the borrower.
Note: In case of construction, process of class starts only when emi of the borrower becomes due.

Note: * Loans beyond this limit will not get interest subvention.
# The Beneficiary, at his/her discretion, can build a house of larger area but interest subvention would be limited to first Rs. 6 Lakh only.
Interest subsidy is all cases credited upfront to the loan accounts of beneficiaries resulting in reduced effective housing loan and Equated Monthly Instalment (EMI).
